Fall is coming and brussel sprouts are popular in our home. My kids often ask for it especially in Thanksgiving dinner. We had guests over for dinner and I made some Japanese Ramen with homemade Tonkatsu Broth (recipe is coming out soon), some Gyoza …etc to make it a Japanese dinner. When I was planning for dinner, I remember we have had roasted brussel sprout at Japanese restaurant before so I decided to make some. This is not my first time making it, but it is the first time I airfried them. It turned out great and took less time to cook comparing to using an oven. I will post both methods below.

1.5 lb Brussel Sprouts
Seasoning
3/4 T Miso
1 T Soy Sauce
3/4 T Mirin
1 T Lemon Juice
1 t Minced Garlic
1-2 T Sesame Oil (2 T for oven method)
Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Rinse, drain and dry brussel sprout and trim the end, then cut in half
2. Mix all seasonings well except salt
Airfryer Method
1. Preheat airfry to 400F for 10 minutes
2. Mix brussel sprout with seasoning except salt
3. Airfry brussel sprout on rack for 8-10 minutes
4. Flip and airfry for 6-8 minutes or until it is crispy and golden
5. Salt if needed
Oven Method
1. Preheat oven to 450F for 10 minutes
2. Toss brussel sprout with sesame oil and bake on a pan with baking paper for 20 minutes
3. Flip the brussel sprout and bake for another 10 minutes or until it is crispy and golden
4. In the mean time, reduce the seasoning except salt over the stove until it is thicken, probably 3-5 minutes
5. Toss the brussel sprout with the reduced seasoning and salt to taste
